  • Update - November 11, 2010.

As you are most likely aware, Alumnus and Charter Member of Theta Kappa, Jim McBrayer (ThK 5), is running for the Board of Education in Rockdale County. Jim and his wife, Betty, are both 30 year veterans of the Rockdale County Schools (and others).

Jim is running to make a difference in our future and our young people by participating in the Board of Education. In the general elections Jim attained 42% of the vote with the nearest competitor at 25%, but there is still a runoff. 2 of his former competitors have endorsed him. By the way Robert Williams is his campaign treasurer.

    Jim sends this note:

“First, thank you to all of our brothers that have contributed to my political campaign for the Board of Education seat in Rockdale County. As many of you already know, I am in a runoff election that will be held on November 30. I am in the process of raising funds for the home stretch. For the brothers that haven't had a chance to contribute, I am asking a donation of $10 if you can.”
