  • The Construction Management – Industry Advancement Weekend (CM-IAW) is Feb. 28 & Mar. 1 in Statesboro. We are looking forward to this great event, hope to make it an annual event, and we would love to have your support. The focus is to help prepare our young men for careers in this industry and to get the best jobs. We have expanded this to benefit the undergraduates, alumni, and the friends of Theta Kappa Chapter. This includes the wide field of Construction, the side affiliated industries and subcontractors in the market. We will do this through shared experiences, enhanced education, mentoring, and networking that builds this into a lifelong connected industry group that benefits the participants and members of the chapter in this industry with the goal of increasing the lifetime value of the fraternity.

This was born out of discussions initiated by young alumnus, Jacob Chandler, ΘΚ 1013, and several other young alumni in Construction Management fields, but we have added to that. We aim to make it part of our chapter’s mission and add additional industry majors in a similar manner in the near term. The working group of volunteers formulated our direction/strategy and is building the first event.
